All roles are featured in major scenes – a few actors will play multiple roles. (Stillman’s and Sherlock Holmes are Caucasian – all other roles can be any ethnic.) |
Mrs Stillman – Age 65– Strong Southern woman comes from a wealthy family, very proper. Haunted
by a thirst for revenge she stands up to Sherlock Holmes.
Sherlock Holmes - Age 45 to 55 – This is the classic English Holmes, trying to unravel a mystery that
includes a murder. He is bested by Archy.
Archy Stillman – Age 33– Born with extraordinary detective powers. Rugged southerner, fit and
strong he’s the dramatic hero of the story bent on revenge.
Anne Stillman – Age 33 - Twin sister to Archy, has the same gifts, but has been compelled not to use
them. She has been shut away from society for most of her life. This adventure is very exciting to her.
Julia – Age 19 – Maid to the Stillmans, comedic brash and somewhat innocent.
Sammy – Age 19- sensitive male friend to Archy- freaks out when he is accused of murder.
Flint – Age 65 - Villainous gold miner. Everyone hates him. His only good qualities are his ability to
tell a story and his willingness to pay his bar bill.
Fetlock – Age 19 to 25 - whipping boy of Flint. Secretly plans to kill his boss. The town sympathizes
with his plight.
Ham – Age Over 35 – Comical Sherriff of the mining town. Easily excitable.
Fergusen - Age Over 30– Friend and counterpart to Ham. Dry sense of humor.
Sal – Age Over 30 - Female Barkeep of the local tavern. Comic storyteller with a heart of gold.
Pat Riley Age Over 30 – Irish immigrant – strong man with a solid bearing and high morals.
Mary Riley - Age 25 to 30 – Pat’s wife. Strong and godly woman whose child gets lost in the night.
